AGAWAM, Mass. - OMG Inc. announced it has acquired ITW Buildex’s roofing business segment, which develops and manufactures fastening systems for the commercial roofing industry. OMG plans to maintain existing product branding to ensure a seamless transition for customers. Product suites the company will continue to offer include AccuTrac™ automated insulation and seam attachment systems, Polymer Batten Strips™ for membrane attachment, Eyehook seam plates and Reel-Fast™ collated seam plates.
AGAWAM, Mass. - OMG Inc. announced it has acquired ITW Buildex’s roofing business segment, which develops and manufactures fastening systems for the commercial roofing industry. OMG plans to maintain existing product branding to ensure a seamless transition for customers. Product suites the company will continue to offer include AccuTrac™ automated insulation and seam attachment systems, Polymer Batten Strips™ for membrane attachment, Eyehook seam plates and Reel-Fast™ collated seam plates. OMG’s new Chicago factory, previously maintained by ITW Buildex, will employ approximately 30 people and includes a full customer service center. No manufacturing layoffs are anticipated during the acquisition process.
“Our integration of products from the ITW Buildex roofing business segment significantly strengthens OMG’s market position,” said the company’s president, Hugh McGovern “The addition of a Midwest manufacturing facility will also enable us to better serve customers in that region and throughout the United States.”
