Best of Best of Success 2020

Like organizers of all major roofing industry events since March, Roofing Contractor and its parent company, BNP Media, did not feel safe continuing the 15-year tradition of hosting the annual Best of Success (BOS) conference this fall.

Initially, it appeared the intensive, two-day conference targeting roofing professionals from around the world could return to The Star in Frisco, Texas, this December. However, as the COVID-19 pandemic continued, the reality of hosting an in-person event seemed out of reach, and irresponsible from a health and safety perspective.

Focused on the future and on how roofing contractors and the businesses that support them can persevere through this crisis, RC is adapting. For the first time, we are offering some of the best speakers to ever take the Best of Success stage an opportunity to again share their experiences, successes and failures with a new audience in a virtual setting.

Best of Best of Success is an interactive web series beginning at 11 a.m. on Nov. 17.  For five straight weeks, participants can join a different session hosted by speakers named favorites by BOS attendees over the years.

“COVID-19 may have stopped us from being together and having that traditional Best of Success experience we’ve been able to cultivate over the last 15 years,” said RC Publisher Jill Bloom. “But the knowledge sharing, networking and all-around drive to uplift the entire roofing industry doesn’t stop.”

The engaging format allows roofing contractors to join from the safety of their homes, offices, vehicles or even rooftop, and gives them a chance to interact with other industry leaders via a live Q&A session after each event.

This year’s line-up of sessions and speakers includes:

“If you haven’t been to Best of Success yet now is the easiest time to do it,” said Cotney, a prior speaker and perennial Best of Success attendee. “It is by far the best event of the year to help understand not just the issues out there, but the business aspects of running a roofing company. I’m very excited and honored to be on that list.”

Bloom said she’s especially excited to bring some of the top-rated BOS speakers back to share best practices in order to navigate this unprecedented time. It’s part of RC’s continued mission of helping business leaders and their companies reach their full potential.

“We’re committed to helping connect roofing contractors with the people and resources in the industry they need to be more successful, and I’m grateful to have this much high-caliber speakers join us again this year to keep doing that.”
