The International Codes, or I-Codes, have served as models for almost all state and local codes in the United States since 1994. The 2012 International Energy Conservation Code (IECC) includes new standards for almost every component in the building envelope, and these standards are further complicated by the International Green Construction Code (IgCC), which serves as an overlay code. In an effort to assist building designers and contractors and cut htrough the confusion, the Center for Environmental Innovation in Roofing and the Polyisocyanurate Insulation Manufacturers Association have published a Roof and Wall Thermal Design Guide. Dr. Jim Hoff, Director of the Center, will present a webinar explaining how to use the guide to better understand the prescriptive thermal design standards of the 2012 I-Codes. The live webinar will be held Dec. 18 at 2 p.m. Eastern time.
