Business consultant Ellen Rohr thinks big. I always get a kick out of her presentations, and she does a great job of explaining business concepts in fun ways that help drive the point home. At one of our Best of Success conferences, she presented a session on managing other family members while managing a family business. I thought to myself, “Ellen could have her own TV show.”

Apparently, I wasn’t the only on to have that idea. Ellen has entered a contest to host a reality TV show in which she helps struggling businesses turn things around.

“The older I get, the more courageous I get,” said Ellen. “Why not? Why not embrace each day and each opportunity! One of my dreams is to have a TV show teaching business basics. Oprah Winfrey and Mark Burnett are hosting a reality TV contest for a TV show on Oprah’s new network, OWN. So, I have thrown my hat in the ring.”

If you like the idea, cast your vote for Ellen’s show. Never one to be shy, Ellen had no reservations about asking me to vote early and often: “Click on the link to vote! The video with the most votes gets to the audition! And you can vote more than once. So vote 10, 20, 40 times ... we greatly appreciate all your help!”

“Your own business can be a ticket to wealth and lifestyle - or it can be a ball and chain of debt and 20-hour workdays,” said Ellen. “Let's fix and grow a winning business of your own. And please help us spread the word ... forward this onto your Facebook friends, e-mail lists, post it in your newsletter! We so appreciate your love and support to help me achieve my wildest dreams! Whatever happens, I can say, ‘I put myself out there!’  I challenge you to do something outrageous today! Thanks for voting for my video!”

It would be nice to see the construction trades (and Ellen) get a little bit more of the spotlight.
