Roofing Contractor’s fifth Best of Success conference is in the history books. I know how tired everyone is of the trite sayings, but I cannot help it. The Best just keeps getting better. And the reasons are pretty clear to me.

To begin with, we are blessed with some great sponsors who continue to support not only our magazine, Web site, Webinars, and e-newsletter, but our live event as well. Times are tough but not moving forward is simply not an option for our sponsors who are fully committed to the success of roofing contractors.

TheRoofing Contractor team, led by our group publisher, Jill Bloom, displayed the experience gained over the last quarter-century of publishing a magazine and a half-decade of staging seminars for the industry’s leading roofing contractors. Ramping up for an event like this requires enormous amounts of time and energy. And once the event launches it can be more than a little difficult to keep a couple of hundred roofing contractors all moving in the same direction.

The presenters at Best of Success not only came across with the right topics, but they managed to make the presentations interesting, entertaining, and challenging. The winning format of Best of Success is the blending of skilled and experienced consultants and public speakers with highly successful and experienced roofing contractors.

And I cannot stop telling my associates or anyone who will listen, “It was great; you really should have been there!” So, where were you? Was whatever you managed to accomplish on September 21 and 22 so profitable that it will continue to pay dividends the rest of the year? How about the rest of your business life?

For me, I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to attend. And I am not a roofing contractor. But the down-to-earth, practical business lessons (and even a few life lessons) that were shared will pay me dividends for years to come.

You may ask, “OK, tell usexactlywhat we missed.” Keep your eyes on theRC blogosphere. Plan now to attend our next event. I do not know how, but it will be better than ever!
