Karina is the owner of Kings Construction & Renovations. As a teenager, she began to get somewhat involved in the construction industry when her father would ask to help with the translation and proofreading on labor contracts. Whenever he would get these contracts she would read and translate for him, anytime he created an estimate or invoice there she was proofreading making sure the grammar was correct. As the years went by, it brought her much joy to be able to help her father secure contracts and somewhat project manage some of the jobs. She founded her own roofing and construction company in 2017 and while she has spent 90% of her time as a business owner working IN her business, working labor, project manager and HR, she has recently taken the time to start learning how to work ON her business. She has joined and locked arms with Amparo Sancen of Sancen Contracting to start Latinos en Roofing. As Amparos assistant in this amazing movement, she finds that there are many people, like her father, who need a bit of help to move forward. “Empowering Latinos en Roofing and bringing those resources to other business owners is always exciting because you can't wait to see the implementations take place and we see where everyone will be this time next year”
