Ohio Roofing Contractor Fined for Repeatedly Not Using Fall Protection Equipment
TREETSBORO, Ohio — An Orwell, Ohio roofing contractor is facing fines after continually putting himself and his workers at risk of injury or worse due to not using fall protection nor having protective equipment readily available on job sites.
On April 20, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) inspectors observed Neal Weaver and an employee of his roofing company — operating as Grand Valley Carpentry LLC — working without fall protection on a residential roof nearly 20 feet off the ground.
