Johns Manville (JM) has taken the next step in showing commitment to the roofing industry by introducing new support focusing on the Building Constructor. Doug Schanz has joined JM Roofing Systems Group as national account manager responsible for building constructor services. An addition to JM’s Owner Services Group, he joins the commercial roofing industry’s most experienced and successful Preferred Accounts team. A twenty year industry veteran, Schanz will lead business development and sales efforts in the commercial building constructor channel - focusing on design build, general contractor, construction manager, and builder/developer client relationships. As the single point of contact, he will be responsible for delivering a higher level of service and collaboration to the entire building team during all phases of project design, construction, and occupancy.
Prior to joining Johns Manville, Schanz has held a number of sales, marketing, and management positions with industry firms including Construction Specialties, Inc., GAF Materials Corp., and Carlisle Construction Materials. A member of DBIA, NAIOP, ASHE, and RCI, Inc. where he holds a Register Roof Observer (RRO) designation, Schanz is a graduate of Adams State University (BA) and Fairleigh Dickinson University (MBA).
