Chilling Out: Hawaii’s Largest Craft Brewery Keeps Cool With Insulated Panels
Touted as “Hawaii’s number-one craft beer,” the award-winning Maui Brewing Company expanded to a brand-new 42,000-square-foot facility in order to meet its overwhelming demand. Just a few months shy of a decade of brewing, the company aimed to construct a new facility that would not only help meet the demand, but would do so in a stylish and environmentally sustainable manner that would be consistent with the brand it has built over the past 10 years.
Opened in 2005, Maui Brewing Company has always taken pride in its beer being 100 percent brewed in Hawaii. Even the cans and labels have a local presence, as the company called on local Maui artists to add to that homebrewed vibe. This thought process carried over with the design and development of the new facility, embracing a modern take on traditional Hawaiian architecture. Kingspan’s KingZip insulated standing seam roof system was an integral part in realizing both the design and environmental sustainability the company desired.
