Home » Investing in History: Church’s New Polymer Slate Roof Boasts Authentic Appearance
After almost 100 years atop Grace Episcopal Church in Mansfield, Ohio, the original slate tiles were replaced in late 2014 with lightweight polymer roofing tiles from DaVinci Roofscapes.
“We would categorize the original slate as in poor to average condition,” said Roman Koval, business manager at Cleveland Commercial Roofing. “This was a soft slate that was costing thousands of dollars each year for the church in upkeep. Selecting the durable DaVinci Single-Width Slate profile was a sound investment for this historic building.”
