Mike Mehrer passed away on Dec. 17, 2012. Mr. Mehrer was a respected veteran in the roofing industry who served as CertainTeed Corporation’s Director of Contractor Programs for 20 years. He joined CertainTeed in 1984 and quickly made his mark as an innovator and pioneer; according to the company, one of his most recognized accomplishments was the creation of the Professional Roofer Advisory Council, which gave contractors an opportunity to share information and ideas with their peers.

Throughout his career, he worked passionately to improve the reputation and success of professional roofing contractors. His efforts had a very positive impact upon many people’s lives and professions. Mike’s dedication, drive and witty sense of humor were contagious; he will be greatly missed by those individuals who knew him.
