GAF to Open Second of Four Planned ISO Manufacturing Facilities
WAYNE, N.J. — GAF announced plans to open its next new manufacturing facility for polyisocyanurate (ISO), an insulation material used in commercial roofing systems. The facility will be located in Gainesville, Texas and follows GAF’s first ISO manufacturing facility in Statesboro, Ga. which began shipping material in August of this year.
This state-of-the art ISO facility will be integrated with the company’s existing thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO) manufacturing facilities and will enable GAF to efficiently service its customers throughout the central region of the U.S. The plant will also produce residential sheathing. Construction of the new 200,000 square foot facility is expected to commence in the third quarter of 2012, and the facility will begin operating in the third quarter of 2013. The facility is expected to employ approximately 20 people in addition to the 35 people already employed at GAF’s Gainesville manufacturing site.
