TAMPA, Fla. — With strong demand fueling its statewide growth, Advanced Roofing Inc. has acquired Roth Bros. of Florida Inc., a Tampa-based roofing firm founded in 1973.

Advanced Roofing CEO Rob Kornahrens called the purchase “a key step in streamlining infrastructure to support our pipeline of major private- and public-sector contracts. The acquisition gives us a strong, immediate foothold for servicing clients throughout the state.” Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Advanced Roofing also has offices in Jupiter, Fort Myers, Sanford, Miami and St. Augustine.

“As Tampa Bay’s go-to source for roofing services for more than 42 years, Roth Bros. of Florida is a natural fit with our team,” Kornahrens said. “Our firms’ customer-focused core values and quality craftsmanship align well, and adding Roth Bros.’ people, client relationships, equipment and facilities helps position us for significant growth on Florida’s west coast.”

In expanding its newly acquired Tampa-based division, Advanced Roofing plans to retain Roth Bros.’ current staff of 27 and add more than 20 local jobs in the next 12 months, Kornahrens said. Throughout Florida, the company expects its current staff of 285 will grow to approximately 320 by year-end.

The acquisition brings Roth Bros. of Florida’s customers and new customers an expanded scope of services with comprehensive solar-energy design/build, procurement and construction services, as well as advantages from Advanced Roofing’s industry-leading technology and volume pricing. In addition to commercial re-roofing, core services of both companies are roof repair, restoration and maintenance; waterproofing; air-conditioning and lightning protection.

“Florida’s economic resurgence is driving robust demand for re-roofing, roofing services, solar rooftop and ground installations in commercial, retail, education, healthcare and governmental sectors,” Kornahrens said. Among his company’s current and recent Florida west-coast projects are the massive 2.26 megawatt solar carport under construction in Oldsmar for Lockheed Martin and a major solar installation at Everglades University in Sarasota. The company’s other commercial roofing projects underway in Tampa include the Seminole Hard Rock Casino, St. Croix Apartment Building, Leslie Controls and the Timberlake Courthouse.
