CHICAGO — The 2014 Chicago Roofing Contractors Association (CRCA) Trade Show & Seminars, themed “Decoding Roofing and Waterproofing Today,” will be held Jan. 23-24 at the Drury Lane Conference Center in Oakbrook Terrace, Ill. Space is still available for all Thursday and Friday afternoon seminars.

CRCA continues to provide a venue for roofing and waterproofing contractors, consultants, manufacturers, architects and building officials to expand their knowledge in technology, safety, products and services all aimed at developing the highest level of roofing and waterproofing professionalism. The 2014 theme, “Decoding Roofing & Waterproofing Today,” sets the tone for CRCA’s Educational Sessions with Thursday’s CRCA Roofing Industry Breakfast Panel. Learn how the new 2012 International Building, Energy and Fire Codes, City of Chicago Energy Code and the new State of Illinois Energy Conservation Code affect the building envelope and legal perspectives from a panel with worldwide expertise. Friday’s seminars start with an important roofing safety seminar for roofing company owners and field personnel. Then expanded seminars based on Thursday’s topics from the panelists cover the 2012 IECC requirements for insulation, air barriers, ventilation, research reports from the Department of Energy, Illinois Roofing Contractor Licensing Law updates and more. All seminars are free and qualify for continuing education units. The CRCA Trade Show Exhibit Hall entrance is also free.
