Midwest Enterprises has a proud history in the gutter business. Its founder, Jim Ealer Sr., started his own custom gutter company with one truck in 1973, and quickly became one of the largest installers in the St. Louis area.

By 1983 he saw the need for an effective gutter screen and started developing E-Z-LOCK, which was patented in 1986. In 1997, Ealer decided that together with his five children, he would focus on the gutter protection portion of the business, and founded Midwest Enterprises.

Today, Midwest Enterprises manufactures 15 types of gutter protection products and sells them nationally through a wide network of distributors. With more than 33,000 square feet of manufacturing capability under roof, they are able to produce 10 million feet of product annually. The company is still family owned and operated — three generations work together to manage the company and carry it into a successful future.

The E-Z Gutter Advantage

E-Z has engineered and re-engineered its gutter guard designs to make them the hardest working products in the business. Subtle tweaks to the leading edges mean higher performance under heavy rain and wind. Engineered-in channels and bends add strength, help water drop through faster, and help keep the guards tightly in place, doing their jobs day and night, through the toughest of environments.
