Mule-Hide Products has introduced an updated formula of its Low-VOC Bonding Adhesive for use with EPDM and TPO roofing systems. The new formula dries faster and is freeze-resistant to help contractors comply with increasingly stringent ozone-related regulations and the demands of projects seeking LEED certification. Like the previous formula, the updated formula meets the VOC content requirements of the OTC Model Rule for Adhesives and Sealants. The new formula dries in half the time of the previous formula, delivers a considerably shorter flash time, and has better cold temperature resistance. In tests, pint-sized cans of the product stored at 10 degrees Fahrenheit did not solidify after 50 days, while other low-VOC bonding adhesives were frozen solid in only three days.
