Khary Penebaker Joins Metal-Era as Product Manager

WAUKESHA, Wis.— Metal-Era, Inc.  announces that Khary Penebaker has joined Metal-Era as their roof edge solutions product manager. With more than 15 years experience in the roofing industry, Khary plays a critical role in leading sales initiatives and providing practical metal roof termination solutions for Metal-Era’s customers.

Before joining Metal-Era, Penebaker was the president of The Penebaker Enterprises, LLC Roofing and Sheet Metal in Milwaukee for 10 years. During this time, he focused on commercial sheet metal roof edge termination and project and contractor management. Among his many successfully executed projects, he completed a high-profile roofing project for the Milwaukee City Hall Restoration project.

Prior to opening The Penebaker Enterprises, Penebaker jointly owned and operated Community Roofing Company for five years, while completing his bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee.

Penebaker has been actively involved with the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC) throughout his career. He was named Minority Business Contractor of the Year in 2010 by Wisconsin Builder magazine, and received the Wisconsin Supplier Development Council’s Supplier of the Year Award in 2004.

“Khary’s extensive field experience makes him the perfect go-to-guy for providing creative solutions for challenging roof conditions,” said Tony Mallinger, president. “We’re excited to have him on board.”

Penebaker holds memberships with the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) and the Roof Consultants Institute (RCI). He was also a certified installer for many commercial roof termination product brands, such as Firestone Building Products, Johns Manville and Carlisle Syntec.
