Allied Building Products Announces Regional Reorganization

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — Allied Building Products Corp. announces a strategic regional reorganization of their Eastern Division. Effective Jan. 1, 2012, John McLaughlin, president of Exteriors – Eastern Division has appointed Allen Baldree, Steve Whitcomb and Eric Grubbs as the leaders of the newly formed eastern regions.

Steve Whitcomb has accepted the role of regional manager of the newly formed North Atlantic region, which will include the Ohio Valley, Michigan, Upstate New York and New England branches. Steve began his career with Astro Building Products and came to Allied via acquisition in 2005 and served as the regional manager of Michigan for the past seven years.

Eric Grubbs has accepted the role of regional manager of the newly formed South Atlantic Region. This newly developed region will include the Maryland-Virginia region, which will continue to be led by Len Weber; the Pennsylvania region, which will continue to be led by Tim Eck; and the Atlanta and Florida Exterior branches, which will report directly to Grubbs. Grubbs joined Allied in 1987 and served as the branch manager in the Anchorage branch before moving to the Seattle area and running the Tacoma branch. In 2006, he was promoted to regional manager of the Ohio Valley region.

Allen Baldree will assume the role of vice president for the Big East region and will work directly with John McLaughlin in developing and expanding the company’s footprint along the East Coast.

The 2012 International Roofing Expo

The 2012 International Roofing Expo was held Feb. 22-24 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla. The total attendance was 8,382, a 3 percent increase over the previous year’s show in Las Vegas. The show floor was packed with attendees from all segments of the roofing industry, including commercial and residential contractors, builders, remodelers, building owners, facility managers, manufacturers, architects, engineers and others.
