Low-income Homeowners Receive New Roofs

The Colorado Roofing Association and Rebuilding Together of Metro Denver recently teamed for another National Rebuilding Day in the Denver area. Rebuilding Together rehabilitates the homes of low-income, elderly or disabled homeowners in hopes that they are able to safely stay in their houses. With the help of 29 roofing contractors, the CRA replaced the roofs on eleven homes and repaired eight others. In addition, most of the materials were donated and loaded with the support of eight suppliers and eight roofing manufacturers.

Participating contractors included Academy Roofing Inc., Adam's Roofing, Alliance Roofing Inc., Arapahoe Roofing & Sheet Metal Inc., B&M Roofing of Colorado Inc., Bear Brothers Roofing, Bighorn MetalWorks, Black Roofing Inc., Boulder Roofing Inc., CEI West Roofing, D & D Monarch Sheet Metal Inc., D & D Roofing Inc., Front Range Gutters, Front Range Roofing Systems LLC, Jenesis Roofing Inc., Kramer Roofing, M & R Roofing, Mathieson Roofing Services Corp., MB Roofing, Pat Harpel Construction, R & R Plus Roofing, Rock's Roofing Inc., Roof Check Inc., RTP Roofing Co., RWC Roofing, Superior Roofing Inc., T.A. Beck Roofing Inc., Tiley Roofing Inc. and Upper Bear Creek Roofing.

Suppliers included ABC Supply Co., Allied Building Products Inc., American Roofing Supply, Fowler & Peth Inc., JEH Supply, Pacific Supply, Roofing Supply of Colorado, and Statewide Wholesale Inc. Manufacturers included CertainTeed Corp., Elk Corp., Firestone Building Products, GAF Materials Corp., Johns Manville, Owens Corning, PABCO Roofing Products and TAMKO Roofing Products.
