Cedar Plus, Sumas, Wash., is one of the few legal cedar shakes available in the California market. The product meets and exceeds the Natural Weathering Tests required for the California market while also meeting UL–790, UBC standard 15-3 and 15-4, and the National Fire Protection Association standard NFPA-256. Using number one or premium-grade shakes, Cedar Plus offers high wind resistance surpassing 130 mph, Class 4 hail resistance and naturally high insulation factors. It is also lightweight and earthquake safe.
