Midwest Tool and Cutlery Co., Sturgis, Mich., announces improvements to its Midwest Snips brand aviation snips. All models feature hot drop-forged steel blades with added strength. The handles of the snips are now more ergonomic in design. They open up to 5 1/2 inches for faster, easier gripping. In addition, softer copolymer handle grips provide more comfort for hands. The grips contain no PVC and are recyclable. The center pivot bolt on the offset model now features a Torx head. This makes blade readjustment easier, if ever needed, extending the cutting life of the snips. Plus, the center pivot bolt is threaded into the bottom blade to keep blades in adjustment longer.
