The International Roofing Expo will return to Las Vegas next year. Donna
Bellantone, Director of the IRE, said next year’s show will be held Feb. 16-18,
2011, at the Las Vegas Convention Center North Halls. Bellantone called Las Vegas an “excellent
location” for the show.
“We plan to include Vegas in the show rotation going forward,”
Bellantone said. “We will be surveying attendees and exhibitors after the 2010
show to determine how frequently we will hold the show in Las Vegas, as well as determine other
potential show locations.”
The IRE was held in Las Vegas
the previous four years prior to coming to New Orleans this year.
“Our attendance is always solid when the show takes place in
Las Vegas and
our international attendance usually spikes,” Bellantone said. “Las Vegas is fairly easy
to get to and is an affordable destination.”
In choosing the famous the Las Vegas Convention Center,
Bellantone said it was necessary to secure a first-class destination.
“February dates are difficult to secure in Las Vegas since that is one of their busiest
months,” she said.
In 2009, IRE was held at Mandalay Bay.
“We were originally planning on holding the event at Mandalay
Bay, but were able to secure more
desirable dates by holding the show at the Las Vegas Convention Center,”
Bellantone said. “With this move, our show will not be held over Valentine’s
Day.”
As well as offering more affordable hotel options, the Las Vegas Convention Center also offers less
expensive rates for many of the show services for exhibitors, Bellantone said.
The Las Vegas Hilton will be the headquarter hotel with a
rate of only $121.
“We will also have a variety of hotel choices so attendees
and exhibitors will have an option that appeals to them and their budget.”
